Fresh Start! With V/H/S/2

Okay,
So it's been a while since I've posted anything.
It might have something to do with the hectic days at work !
But I had a fresh start with some new horror movies :)

Okay so a few days ago I watched VHS 2... Now I never mentioned
The first movie, cause I haven't watched it yet. Way to go backwards.
My friends did allready watch the first movie so I agreed on watching
this one with them.

Damn this movie is a load of things together!
It has so many good quality's but it also has some downside's

First of, I LOVE the way they chopped it into pieces! The idea of
people watching it with you, in the movie itself gives an extra
dimension to it. 
It also explains why it is filmed like it is, like homemade videos.
Unfortunately some parts really look like student makeshift
horrormovies, like the part with the zombies.
The maker of this movie is no doubt an asian horror fan.
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT
The scene 'Safe Haven' is just everything I can imagin
seeing on 'MTV Asian Screen'

So anyway, I'm about to watch a whole load of new Horror movies
Don't be scared to send me requests or other questions !

Scary Suicide Paradise

The good the bad and the ugly

Well actually it's mostly just the good and the bad, but the ugly fits in somewhere.

So I just watched the haunting in conneticut. Long time since I had time.
Now again it's a movie with a pretty old story, a haunted house, woohoo.
I don't want to start of negative from the beginning but it's just a standard horror story.
I liked this movie, actually.
So if your looking for a haunted house movie you found a good one.
Not for pussy's though, unless you absolutely love watching eyelids being cut.
So anyways, enjoy the movie!

And stay away from 'beautiful creatures' PLEASE
God it must be the worst movie I've EVER seen.

Okaaaay, so I said no old movies...
I just want to mention 2 that are pretty darn good!!
Sooooo, my favorite old horror movies!

Yesterday I watched Poltergeist (1982)
I loooove this movie, still didn't have the chance to watch
the second and third of these series.
Still.. this Spielberg creation is on top of my list.
The main character Carol Ann, is so adorable..
I just found out that she passed away during the making of the third
movie, only 12 yrs old ! :(
This movie is perfect for a movie/slumber party !!
Combine this with some recent horror or some chick flicks,
popcorn and friends! Fun guaranteed!

My mom told me about Carrie a few years ago, 
I just love this one, it's so weird in a way.
It's just a total classic horror, the music (or sounds), 
the blood that's soo bright red, ahhhh Love it !
I know there's going to be a remake, and I think it's 
just losing the total concept of the actual story.
They're using this 'pretty' girl (also in the remake of 
låt den rätte komma in , and also a total waste). 
I just don't get the idea yet, that might change once I 
actually watched it, but I think not.
If you're going to watch the movie, pleeaaase watch the original! 
Also great movie for slumber party's!

Devil's Angel

A few days ago I found this movie on the internet called Devil's Angel.
There wasn't a lot of information to be found anywhere about it.
So I just hoped for the best and watched it.

To be honest, the acting was a bit dissapointing. It just lacked passion and
empathy in my opinion. The story was well thought of, only a bit cliche maybe.
In whole it just looked a bit low budget.
I had a bit of an awkward feeling during the movie.

This movie explained in short is about a midwife and her boyfriend
trying to get a baby. She gets a proposal from the army to join in a research
on cloning. When she finds out that most embryo's get eliminated when unused
she steals one for her own and impregnates herself.
I wont spoil what happens next, but seven years later the world changes and
God and the Devil are involved.

Just watch it if your interested, if not ... well, then don't.

I'd reccomend movies like The rite (2nd review) or any other movie
on exorcisms (or other religious themes) more than this one.

wow wow worst ever

Okay so I'm currently watching the ending of the movie
"I know who killed me". I knew our tv channels had bad taste
in movies, but damn they're doing worse then ever.
It's like Lindsay Lohan was just looking for the first or worst
script of a gogo dancer, to get sexy on the set. This girl is good
looking (or was) but this is just sad. The story might have been
interesting if it was perfectly executed. But when the acting,
special effects and music are just worthless, well you're not
getting far in general. This movie was a complete waste of time.

The Cabin in the Woods!

Alright, So tonight I finaly got to watch 'The Cabin in the Woods'
And I think it's safe to say that I'm super exited about it!
At first the title and movie poster reminded me instantly of 'Cabin Fever'
which was one of the first horror movies I ever watched.
So kind of nostalgic start, but absolutely not the plot I expected.
This movie is awesome!
It has a great storyline, and the humor is the best I've seen in horror so far.
At times I was like "Whathefuuu?' and that's just what you need.
I hate knowing what's going to happen, although you can still sense
when it's coming, 'what' is not really the expected.
If you're interested in watching a totally awesome and diffrent kind of
horrormovie, this is probably it! Just stay openminded while watching,
there are the cliche moments of the random horrorflicks you see everyday,
but it's all the other things that make it so special and amazing!

Just watch it!

Long time no scares

Ok, so it's been ages since I posted anything. And I wanted to
make this one special! An Exorsist - special.. yeeaah!

The idea is to just give you 3 of the many exorsist movies I watched.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose. 2005
I saw this movie on avant-premiere when it came out in 2005 (wow 
damn such a long time ago already). The things I rememberd from 
that day was mostly dissapointment. Not that I didn't like this movie 
exactly, but mostly because I expected more. 
I haven't watched it since, and maybe I should.. to get a better eye 
on things. But I must say that the fact that I haven't forgotten about it, 
is probably a very good sign. Just short fragments of the movie are 
still in my brain, like the representation of demons and stuff, I really 
do remember Lucifer being awesome :D. 
Anyways, I do reccomend this movie.

The Rite. 2011
Last year I was in Rome, while we were there this movie came out. 
The poster was the thing that spoke to me most, and probably the title 
too. But just Anthony Hopkins in combination with exorcism theme is 
a thing in my zone of interest.  
And I was right ! This movie is pretty awesome, just the general story 
being quite -the cliché- but the total package is in a way still different. 
This is a movie absolutely worth wacthing,  in an exorsist-movie-night 
this should probably be one of the last movies of the night.

The devil Inside. 2012 
I think this must be one of the latest horrormovies I wacthed, one of the 
best lately too. I like this one, just a slightly diffrent approach in this story. 
The two student-priests, a baptation gone wrong. There's just so much 
interresting new stuff in here. I absolutely love the way they used the
'handycam' style of the exorsism images, it reminds me of 'the fourth kind' 
an absolute part of my top 20. These days you see a ton of movies made 
with a handycam, and I'm not a big fan of copying the blockbuster cliché. 
But anyways, I'm liking this one, watch it !
